XeTeX is new typesetting engine that was designed and implemented by Jonathan Kew. It is a Unicode extension of TeX that can typeset documents using OpenType and TrueType fonts out-of-the-box. After starting using XeTeX, I started learning about OpenType fonts and, at the same, I was “desingung’’ simple OpenType fonts. But after this initial period, I worked on the creation of the Philokalia OpenType font and the corresponding XeLaTeX package. Later on, I released a beta-release of the xgreek package to facilitate the typesetting of Greek language documents with XeLaTeX. Now, I am working on a new unicode math font that is based on the px fonts. Provisionally, the font is called Asana-Math. Also, I am working on the creation of OpenType fonts from the Type 1 cbfonts.
